Bob, Me, and the I35 Bridge that Collapsed

5:00 p.m., August 1, 2007 -- This picture taken. We took Bob's brother Tommy to the Guthrie Theater. This is the view from the Guthrie's endless bridge that juts over the Mississippi River.

6:05 p.m., one hour later, the bridge collapsed. How weird is that?

10:00 p.m., as I write this dispatch they are still attempting to make the most difficult rescues.

Take care everyone.

Love, T

The callous side of me thinks, "Wow, that picture could be worth money someday."

The theatrical side of me wonders, "what show did you see?"

The concerned side of me wonders if any one I know is in the wreakage and my prayers continue. Glad you're safe.

Terri, I know that feeling. When we went to Brooklyn for the first time after 9/11, when Anstein and Arlene were still in MN, there was a picture of Anstein on the Brooklyn Bridge with the towers in the background, on the piano. He and Raymond had walked over the bridge before they went on their trip. Eerie. I am glad you guys are okay, and I hope they are successful in rescuing other people.

Bob & Terri and family I am so glad you are all okay. I was calling to find my son after the colapse of the bridge, after twenty minutes he finally called and said he had a hard time getting to get through and he was okay. Praise God! That was the longest 20 minutes of my life!!
Our prayers go to the families who did loose loved ones and families who have them missing.
